GREAT NEWSwork on the changes to the Front of the Building and the Renovation of the ‘Worship Space’ on the first floor will start on the 19th March 2018.
This marks nearly the end of a four year journey for the church, as we have tried to discern the right thing to do with our Victorian premises.
Plans were drawn up by Canterbury-based architect Nick Lee-Evans and submitted to Medway Council for approval. This was given in early 2015. Changes to the design, to save money, were the approved in 2017 with full planning approval granted in February 2018.
It consists principally of:
a new glazed entrance to replace the current stone steps.
a 13 person lift to provide the community with full access to all levels in the building.
a ground floor reception area and offices.
new first floor toilets.
New heating system
Renovation of the whole ‘Worship Space’ including, removal of pews, new heating, carpeting, decorating, lighting, new audio/visual facilities and chairs.
Below you can see the latest design of the church frontage.
A special project fund has been established called
‘Fund for the Future’
A well as trying to raise monies through our own resources and people we are also seeking support from other individuals and organisations that would like to partner with us in this work. If you would like to donate to our ‘Fund for the Future’ you can send a cheque direct to the church office. For details of our address or if you require further details please
