Our age range extends from a few months to over 90 years old.
Which is actively involved in worship as a lifestyle. In which prayer is the foundation for everything. That expresses the love and compassion of Jesus to everyone. Seeks to make disciples by reflecting God’s unconditional love for everyone. Which seeks to grow in its relationship with God and others. |
WE BELIEVE
|
In
a loving
heavenly Father
who made us and wants the very best for us. He loves us so much that he sent his only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us. Jesus was buried but rose again three days later. Through this sacrificial act of love it is possible for us to receive forgiveness and new eternal life if we believe and commit our lives to Him.
That the
Holy Spirit
is given
to all
those who
believe and trust in Jesus. He is sent to make the truths of God a
living reality in our lives. There is one worldwide Church. It comprises all those who believe that Jesus Christ died for them and accept His gift of forgiveness and new life. Commitment to a local branch (of the church) is strongly encouraged.
Prayer
is direct communication with the living God. It is essential to the
Christian Life both for the individual God has given us a handbook for life, the Bible, it is His Holy word. It is as relevant today as it was at the time it was written and it is fundamental to our lives, both as individuals and as a church. Worship of God is a priority in our lives and forms a major part of our local church services. It is varied and open to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
Communion is the act by which we share bread and wine in remembrance of Jesus’ death, until He comes again. Communion may be taken by anyone who knows and loves Jesus. |
The following statements have been taken from the Baptist Union of Great
Britain,
to which we are
affiliated.
|
That our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, is the sole and absolute authority in all matters pertaining to faith and practice, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and that each Church has liberty, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to interpret and administer His laws. That Christian Baptism is the immersion in water into the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, of those who have professed repentance towards God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ who 'died for our sins according to the Scriptures; was buried, and rose again the third day'. That it is the duty of every disciple to bear personal witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to take part in the evangelisation of the world. |
